The College School

Hello College School families,

Hard to believe we are wrapping up week 2 already! The cool fall air is at our doorstep and I’m looking forward to seeing the leaves change and all the pumpkin things.

Here are some updates from our second week:

Masking: Unless we learn of any positive COVID cases over the weekend, effective Monday, September 19, all classrooms are mask-optional. Thank you for your patience and compliance with the policy. The following policy still remains in effect:

Individuals will still be required to mask when:

      • COVID positive: Isolate day 1-5, return to classroom with mask day 6-10
      • COVID exposure: Wear a mask for 10 days, and test on day 5 and provide test results (a photo of the test is adequate) to the College School. We have at home test kits available.
      • Displaying symptoms of illness (while awaiting parent pick-up, for example)

Dr. Piercy: We are looking forward to welcoming Dr. Piercy back to the College School on Monday.

Spirit wear: I have received several responses, but will keep the survey open for another week in case you haven’t had a chance to respond. Many of you have been asking for spirit wear to show your support of the College School. Here’s a really brief survey to get an idea of what items you are interested in:https://delaware.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eznTHAFNeR701P8  Once we gauge the level of interest, we will move forward.

School pictures: School pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 20.

UD Dining Hall visit:  We will be walking to UD’s Russell Dining Hall on September 23, 2022 at 11:30 for lunch. The All-You-Can-Eat price is $8.00.

Parent/Teacher Back to School night: September 29, 6-7pm. Please consider taking this opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and learn about their school day.

Scholastic Book Fair: September 26-30. Cash, credit card, and check are accepted.

Reminders:

Please use 1.302.831.1097 to reach the front desk.

Remember to use your parking passes to avoid getting ticketed.

Please be careful in the parking lot – there are several new families getting used to our campus and may need a little extra time finding their way.

Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week,
