The College School

Dear TCS Families,

Greetings!  I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather.  Here are some upcoming dates/activities:

  • Members from UD’s Entomology Club will be visiting Mrs. Seador’s class during STEM this Thursday, November 10th.  Students may see Halloween Hissing Cockroaches, Blue Death Feigning Beetles, and a tarantula, all live!
  • Rob DeMasi, Director of Admissions at St. Mark’s High School, will be visiting TCS on Wednesday, November 16th and will be meeting with students in Mrs. Krause’s and Mrs. Pop’s homerooms.
  • We have our next trip to Russell Dining Hall on Thursday, November 18th–another fun-filled afternoon awaits!
  • Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for Monday, November 21st.  There is no school for students on conference day.  If you would like to schedule a conference, but have not set up a time to meet with your child’s homeroom teacher, please reach out to him/her as soon as possible.
  • Thanksgiving break is scheduled for November 21st-25th.  Classes will resume on Monday, November 28th

In honor of Dyslexia Awareness month and in the spirit of helping others, College School families raised $360.75 for the Red Cross during the month of October.  The names of all the donors were entered into a homeroom raffle for Louie the Squishmallow, who has Dyslexia (according to his tag!)  Congratulations to the whole school for supporting such a worthy cause and to our Squishmallow winners!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Dr. Phil
